Konpa Pompano aims to introduce participants to Haitian music and dance culture. Konpa, also known as compás, is a dance style that originated in Haiti during the 1950s. Following the format of popular dance events like "Sabados de Salsa" and "Baila Pompano," Konpa Pompano will feature two one-hour instructor-led dance classes with instructors from KOTR Konpa Dance Studio, followed by a dance party with DJ Mike Cooley. This lively program is designed to engage and elevate both beginners and seasoned dancers alike. Each ticket includes one free drink ticket.
