Ashley K. Jolicoeur is an Event and Media Strategist who specializes in personalization, push alerts, and event production with a keen focus on expanding data-driven audience and brand strategies.

In her current role, Ashley works with various South Florida companies, such as SocialXchange Miami, Haitian Businesses and most recently The City of North Miami to enhance their digital presence. She is also the founder of Mingle Miami, a popular speed dating event series for singles in the region.

Previously at CNET, Ashley served as Assistant Platforms Manager, where she achieved a remarkable +94% increase in platform subscribers, generating over $1MM in annual revenue.

Ashley served as the communications director for the National Association of Black Journalist Arts and Entertainment Task Force and has worked alongside organizations like Airship, Online News Association, Tampax, CNBC and The Daily Beast.

As a recipient of the UF Association of Black Alumni’s Emerging Leader Award and an NABJ Salute to Excellence, Ashley has an extraordinary commitment to capturing the Black experience through photojournalism.

Before the 2024 NABJ Convention, Ashley was awarded the NABJ-Amazon Mid-Career Journalists Hardship Grant for her commitment to journalism. This grant allowed her to attend the convention in Chicago, where she networked and met with Amazon executives.

The 2023 Creators Connect Spotlight Awards celebrate individuals who excel in entrepreneurship and creativity by the Content Creator Experience. The purpose of CCE is to foster authentic connections and promoting sustainable collaboration in the creative industry in Florida. Ashley was nominated for the Lifestyle Blogger Spotlight Award.


The NABJ Leadership Academy's (Powered by Stellantis) goal is to provide invaluable industry knowledge and experience through mentorship by some of the country's top newsroom executives and managers to help advance careers in news leadership. For the next year, Ashley will focus on leadership, hiring and retention, business acumen, and character development as a participant in the program. Learn more.

NABJ PRINT & DIGITAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY


The University of Florida Association of Black Alumni recognized Ashley with the Emerging Leader Award for her outstanding work in journalism while highlighting the UF African American Community during their annual Black Alumni Weekend in 2016.

EMERGING LEADER AWARD


In 2018, Ashley was awarded the 2016 Salute to Excellence Award by the National Association of Black Journalists for her front page newspaper photo of a Gainesville community protest in solidarity with the students of University of Missouri over blooming racial tensions.

SALUTE TO EXCELLENCE AWARD


The Art of Action showcase aims to use the art form of photography to amplify the voices of those women who have been silenced in both the Black Power Movement and the modern Black Lives Matter movement with a creative recreation of a popular photograph. Ashley’s “Shadows of Oppression” recreation of Bruce Davidson’s 1963 March on Washington photo received first place by the Lambda Psi chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

ART OF ACTION SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT


The University of Florida chapter of S.I.S.T.U.H.S honored Ashley with the Cultural Visionary Award during their annual Black History Month event, Nubian Queens Rock, for her extraordinary commitment to capturing the Black diaspora on campus.

CULTURAL VISIONARY AWARD


In 2015, Ashley’s “Beauty of a Rose” photograph won first place in the Harn Portrait Competition. The photo was displayed at the Harn Museum of Art and in the Bishop Study Center’s Hoppè Portraits exhibition
